Degrease the cabinets

Just like your cooking utensils, kitchen cabinets can get grimy when you’re making dinner. Although it may not look obvious, once you degrease your presses you will notice the difference right away!

To clean your cabinets, add a little washing-up liquid to a spray bottle filled with warm water and mist away the grease. Rinse the cabinets with a clean cloth and pat dry- rubbing too hard could result in paint coming off.

Freshen up your bins

Just because your bins are filled with rubbish doesn’t mean they have to smell bad. You can make them smell fresher by soaking a paper towel with Zoflora and popping it under the bin bag.

If you have a waste disposal in your sink and it’s starting to smell, you can put a few lemon rinds through the disposal and follow with cold water to freshen it up.

Make your bathroom sparkle

Many people focus on cleaning the floor and mirrors in a bathroom and overlook the tiles, in particular, the grout. To clean the grout between your tiles, use a commercial grout cleaner or mix three-quarters of a cup of household chlorine bleach with one gallon of water and use a scrubbing brush to apply. Let it sit for several minutes, then scrub and rinse.

Ensure you keep the window and/or door of the bathroom closed and wear rubber gloves and eye protection.

Shine plants with mayo

Using mayo to shine the leaves of your plant is a relatively unknown tip from professional florists, but super effective.

Clean the leaves of your houseplant with mild soap and water, pat them down with a paper towel, and rub a smidge of mayo into the tops of them to make them extra shiny.
