The 59-year-old politician loves to stay active and focus on her fitness. Not a day goes by wherein Harris misses her workout sessions. Setting a great example for post-menopausal women — whose agility, balance and energy start to dwindle in the 50s — Harris mentioned in an old campaign video during September 2020, when she was interviewed by former US President Barack Obama that she works out every day, come what may. “I work out every morning, regardless of how much sleep I have had. It’s just the best way to start the day,” she had said.

Harris had also mentioned that during the pandemic-induced lockdowns, she could not work out with weights. “For months, I couldn’t find weights. They were sold out. So, I had these litre water bottles that I filled, of course, with water, and used them as hand weights,” she told Obama, who called her “resourceful”.

Harris always finds a way to stay fit and in shape, despite her punishing schedule, especially during the campaign time. Now, as she looks to take her seat in the Oval Office, will she be able to continue with her workouts? The answer is affirmative.
