About
Boo played high school golf with PGA TOUR member Heath Slocum. TOUR member Bubba Watson also attended and played golf at their high school, Milton HS, and nearby resident Joe Durant is a close friend. Slocum’s dad, Jack, served as his caddie during finals of the Qualifying Tournament….Nicknamed after cartoon hero Yogi Bear’s sidekick, “Boo Boo” Bear…Studied turfgrass science in college and later worked as a laborer at the Monsanto chemical plant in Pensacola, FL…Used to wear rain pants because cotton pants caused him to break out in a rash…Sponsored by the outdoors apparrel company Mossy Oak, which specializes in camouflage apparrel…Lists Ben Hogan as his hero. He’s said that if he makes enough money, he may well walk away after five or ten years and just hunt and fish.

I recentley had a chance to spend some time with Boo at this years 2009 Verizon Heritage in Hilton Head. I graduated from ABAC just like Boo with a degree in Turfgrass Management. He is by far the most approachable golfer on the tour. We shared stories about both of our experiences while at ABAC. He is the real deal. Go Boo!!!!

Boo,
Hope you feel better soon. Praying for your quick recovery.
Hi Boo, how’s the shoulder? I have been picking you regularly in my Yahoo! Fantasy Golf Teams because you are very consistent, only missing one cut all year! Though your withdrawal from The Players probably hurt you more than it did me! Could you post a comment on your website as to how your shoulder is progressing and when you think you may be back? Hope you get down to Australia some time soon! Regards, John (Sydney, Australia)
Hey Boo its been awhile since we have talked, I believe it was a deer hunt up in Alabama with Bone and Steve. Well that was ages ago and now I have a 13yr old that would love to meet you. We live in Thomasville, Ga. and it would be very easy to go bass fishing at Lake Seminole. If you are interested Steve “Doo Doo Brown” knows how to get in touch with me.
Good luck this week Boo all us ABAC boys are pulling for you. i hope that your shoulder feels better and will hold out. Gee Haw Wo Back Give Em Hell ABAC…make us proud.

Boo,
My buddy was working as a runner at the ‘08 PGA at Oakland Hills, and said after one of your rounds, you and some buds were pounding brews and dipping heavily in front of one of the homes on the course…all while whistling and hollering at hot young CBS interns….you’re my hero for this act

go make ABAC proud!
I really like watching him play and truly enjoy the way he hasn’t changed with his success. Just hope he doesn’t quit too soon, because that old Orangutan is out there waiting to remind him that golf is a lot easier than working. How do I know that? I was silly enough to get into the ring with one trying to win some easy money… I lasted about 15 seconds, including the count to 10. GO BOO!
you are a hoot..watching you on golf channel…had to get up and check you out…keep having fun…you are a year younger…love your style.loved you riding the horse…with white socks and navy pants..

Boo, Go get em at the PGA this week. Git R done Boo! Its time for a Major!!
my grandpa taught him how to golf, Michael Morgan..
I thought I heard on the Jim Rome show once that you got punched out by an orangutan. Is that true, because that would be awesome, or did I just completely make that up, for which I would apologize for.
Boo, Will you be playing in any of the fall season tourny’s? Or will you be strictly in the hunting woods? Good luck to both.
I got to meet you briefly at Fuzzy Zoellers Charity Wolf Challenge in August, 2009. We could tell your passion for hunting when you asked the question,”have you ever killed anything?, — except with your car”.
Funny guy! …and a class act too.
Best of luck in 2010…..We’ll be watching you.
I’m a big fan of yours, Boo. I’ve always thought it was great that 3 of you guys are from the same high school in a small town. You guys give hope to the kids that grow up playing in small towns on municipal courses all over the world. Keep on keeping it real!
Boo, I enjoy watching you play golf. Its good to have some local guys on the tour. Im from North Escambia Co, but Im not quite the golfer that my cousin is. (you know who). But, I enjoy playing anyway. Look forward to watching on the tour. Keep it up.
Boo is the kind of golfer we need. He is able to break the tension of perfect edicate and dress codes while still playing good respectful golf. Boo your definitely a role model to me. If im not on the course im in the woods. But keep up the good work and good luck on the course and in the woods!!
